About
Who I Am
Frances Robin is a maternal health advocate, trauma survivor, speaker, and founder of the Virginia Women and Family Support Center. Born into a legacy of secrecy and nearly lost to a broken healthcare system, she now works to ensure no woman walks through birth or healing alone. Her work bridges housing, healthcare, faith, and justice to restore dignity to women and families. Through her Breaking Cycles podcast, and her community-based programs, Frances creates spaces where healing is not just possible, it’s sacred.
Why I Do This Work
I carry the stories that shame tried to silence. I create spaces where dignity is the starting place — not the reward. My mission is to build bridges between trauma and healing, between maternal health and housing, between policy and lived experience.
Through my nonprofit, my podcast, my writing, and my voice, I advocate for a world where maternal health care sees the whole woman — her body, her story, her circumstances, and her right to live and thrive.
What I Believe
-
I believe maternal health is more than medicine — it’s housing, support, justice, and trust.
-
I believe trauma can be transformed when women are seen, heard, and held with care.
-
I believe faith is not a substitute for justice — it is the fuel for it.
-
I believe every mother deserves to survive childbirth and every child deserves to be welcomed into a world that is ready for them.
What I Do
I speak.
I teach.
I mentor.
I listen.
I write.
I fight.
I lead.
I tell the truth.
I serve as the Founder and Executive Director of the Virginia Women and Family Support Center, where we provide long-term housing, trauma care, parenting education, and advocacy for pregnant women and mothers facing homelessness. I also lead StrongHer Generation, a community-driven boutique that’s grown into a space of connection, restoration, and support.
My podcast, Breaking Cycles, amplifies stories of survival and triumph from women who are healing, rising, and changing the world, one truth at a time.
My memoir, A Warrior Awakening, shares my personal journey from trauma to healing, and my devotional journal is being created to walk alongside women through their own awakening.
Let’s Build Together
I believe we can end the cycles that keep women silenced, displaced, and devalued.
I believe we can create a world where healing is not a miracle, but a birthright.
I believe in the power of story.
I believe in the power of faith.
And I believe in you.
Join me. Let’s build something new.
